Climate The climate in Spain varies considerably from one region to another but generally the Mediterranean climate dominates Spain. Health Advice For a UK citizen to have medical assistance in Spain, they must produce a European Health Insurance Card (issued in the UK). In case of illness or accident, the traveller must present this card and a passport or identity card to have access to free or reduced-cost healthcare.
To receive medical assistance in Spain you must contact the local Health Centre. Hospital emergency services should only be used in severe situations.
